Question for Wii Hori Battle Pad owners

Is the trigger placement for the L/R buttons terrible for other games like Mario Kart 8? I don't want to press back buttons for shooting items.

well it's button placements are the same as pro controllers just gamecube design

They are flipped, but if you're worried about Mario Kart 8, L/zL and R/zR have the exact same function. I can't really speak for other games though, since I don't own it.
