I don't want to pay the ridiculous amount of money for used games that people are offering, and even so I'm skeptical that the game may be scratched or something. Can I buy it from Nintendo still? Is there a possible way to download a ROM or something? please help lol

If you have a wii and a 16gb or less sd card its really easy. This is the link to the guide I used

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1l_l5kpMerHY6IE92lia2aM3F6iL7WyQvTEU7pPe_7LU/edit?pli=1

At the end under survival there's a bunch of stuff. DO NOT DO THAT UNLESS YOU HAVE A MEMORY CARD BECAUSE IT WILL BE VANILLA MELEE AND YOU HAVE TO RE UNLOCK ALL THE CHARACTERS AND STUFF EVERYTIME YOU PLAY. Also it's an emulator so make sure you have a gamecube controller

The price of melee discs is absurd lol. Even defective discs and melee cases (with no disc) go for ~$20-25 on ebay. Unreal

I think at this point it makes no sense buying a melee disk + gamecube if you can just get a used wii for 40$ or less. At some point in time you will want to get a wii anyways because of the 20XX training hack pack.

I kinda like hitting one button and having melee fire up almost immediately (with 20XX TE). 3 months ago I got a like-new cube, a like-new silver controller, all cords, 2 memory cards, 6 games, an official nintendo carrying case for the cube, and an official nintendo case for the games, for $60 after shipping. To each his own.

Used Wii definitely, as for the disc you stuck getting it from others or expect a very... very high collectors price for a sealed copy. Nintendo no longer manufacture's it nor offers it on virtual console, so your stuck with getting the disc or using other "means". I'm one of the lucky ones who still has their original melee disc, and cube from 03.

How many of these 6 games are Melee?

I believe you know the answer to that. I already owned melee. Still a good deal brotha
Yeah sure it's a good deal. But it isn't really a good example for somebody who wants to buy a Melee setup (which is what this thread is about), since even your deal wouldn't have given him what he wanted, unlike buying a used Wii for 30$ and an SD card for 4$.

Kadano Kadano a user introduced a wii versus GameCube issue and I voiced my opinion on it briefly, and never claimed the route I took was best (hence the quote "to each his own"). If it was that far off topic in your opinion, just infract me and move along.

I have 6 Smash Melee and Project M setups for sale that I used to use to run our locals. They include the CRT, Wii-U, and both games pre-loaded with power supply and AV cables. Each setup is a steal at 50 bucks for everything plus shipping. If you or anyone you know is interested shoot me a text at 313-400-2647 my name is John
