Question About WiiSpeak

This is a small question that I have about wiispeak that will probably determine whether or not I buy it. I know that it takes in all the sounds from the room (or it filters it... whatever. what i'm trying to say is that I know that it isnt a personal microphone), but do the voices of your fellow online players also come out to everybody in the room? Or can headphones be used so that only I hear them?

I am pretty sure that you can use headphones attached to the actual microphone, or it will consist of a mic and a headset.
