Hello guys,
I have question about a game mechanic.
As far as I know, it is possilbe to mash out of tumbling (so you can perform aerials again and land normally instead of teching).
Which inputs are allowed, do you need to mash or does holding the button do it and is there a formula to calculate how man inputs you need?
Thx for info

In PM all it takes is to rock the D-stick (directional) back and forth in order get out of tumble. How many? I am not sure.

You wanted to know how to save yourself from tumble, and that's one of the ways to do it, provided you're tumbling in what would be a lethal trajectory.

Ah OK I was more thinking about situations where I want to mash out of tumble to jump to escape a combo/cg. But helps either way! Do you know a formula for the number of D-pad inputs?

Directional stick (left one)not d-pad. And you cannot get out immediately following hits: There is a short period in which you cannot do anything regardless of what you press after that your character will still tumble. It is during the tumble phase that moving the stick back and forth will cancel the tumble and go into regular fall.

If you want help escaping combos see here:

Mashing does not get you out of hitstun, if that's what you are asking. Hitstun is during the initial part of your tumble animation, and you can do nothing to shorten it once it's in effect. All tapping left and right does is ensure that you are uprighted as soon as possible after your hitstun wears off. If you somehow knew exactly when hitstun ended, you could jump out or just tap twice and end your tumble just as quickly as if you "mashed".
