Question about swapping stages

Hey guys. I used the BSMC (lakora . us/rel/) to swap Yoshi's Island with Yoshi's Island Melee (Yoshi's Story in PM.)
Then I swapped the names on the .pac files so that these two stages now have swapped spots on the SSS.

But now there's the following issues:
-YS: The characters are standing slightly above the ground. Randall's graphics don't line up where his actual platform is.
-YI: No sound effects for the weather changing and whatnot.

Have I mixed something up or missed a step? What's the issue here? Any help or alternatives will be appreciated.

Sound effects are tied to the stage slot. The only way Yoshi's Island (Brawl) is going to have sound effects is if you leave it in its original slot. As for Yoshi's Story, it sounds like the colision data in the .pac file itself is messed up. Just grab a new DXYORSTER.pac file from a Vanilla Project M 3.02 build and that should fix it.

By the way, what is it that you are trying to accomplish by swapping these two stages? More music slots?

Why would you change the icons, if you're not going to be using the stages they are representing?

The OP wants to move the stages to be organized differently than in Project: M with singles stages on the front and doubles on the back, if I recall correctly.

The SSS editor swaps the stage/icon pairs while preserving the correct mapping.

I'm having trouble using SSS Editor, I try to swap the stages and once I put my SD card into the wii and turn on project m there is no change. Am I not saving it correctly or something?

You have to export the .gct when you make changes.
