Question about rels on stages with 2+ pac files

I'm trying to edit Lylat cruise, but I want to replace a different stage with the hack, so I can have both lylat cruise and the hacked lylat cruise.

What should I do with the pac files? (lylat cruise has more than one.)

I'm not sure if you can replace another stage with Lylat Cruise.
You can replace Lylat Cruise with another stage by using st_starfox.rel and STGSTARFOX_GDIFF.PAC.

So does that mean I can use the leftover pac files (ex: stgstarfox_asteroid.pac) and put them in the replaced stage?

EX: Files will be like this:
st_norfair.rel(edited st_starfox.rel)
stgstarfox_asteroid.pac
stgstarfox_battleship.pac
stgstarfox_corneria.pac
stgstarfox_space.pac
the last two are edited to the point where a final destination stage can replace the starfox stage
st_starfox.rel(edited st_final.rel)
STGSTARFOX_GDIFF.pac

How do I use the rest of the four pac files if the "head" pac file is edited with an rel?
