Question about playing PM online

Hey guys,

Been itching to find more people to play but dont have much time to go out to look for the local scene. Decided to give online a shot but have a couple questions before starting i hoped could be answered. Thanks!

1. Which system? Wii or dolphin on PC will be better?

2. Big difference between wifi/ethernet? I have around 35mbps download, 10 upload on ethernet. 30 on wifi?

3. How's the lag? Is it... SCV/TTT2 good? or like... umvc3 decent.? Or just horrendous like some vanilla sf4. just wanted to know what to expect. If I should be looking for a good conection or what to settle for if I find someone who I get a decent connection with.

4.Best way to find players? Is there a chat room or something I can goto to look for players?

I don't really know the difference between Wii and Dolphin, since my computer can't run dolphin very well, nor would I know the proper answers to your other two questions after that... but if you're looking for a chat or someplace where players gather, there is an IRC somewhere around here that the admins ask that you use instead of making a thread. I'm sure someone else can provide a link to that since I don't use it myself.

I personally go to this xat chat called "DaBessDI", the guy who made it added a rule that asks that people who intend to be regulars get an account on the site in order to be a member of the chat... if only because of previous encounters with trolls and the like. there's a few other chats out there like this place called "fsmash.org" or something or other so I'm sure you'll find someplace to play against

Normal wifi has a ton of lag, most people (like myself) can't stand it.

Dolphin Netplay has way less lag to begin with, and depending on who your playing you can get near lagless matches.

Lets just say that "bad" lag on Dolphin Netplay is considered Average in Normal wifi.
