Question about multiplayer.

I apologize if this is not the right place for this, but I just had one quick question.

If two of my friends live together, another lives elsewhere, and I live elsewhere, can my two friends play on one Wii while I and my other friend use Wifi or is it all wifi or no wifi?

I believe so, I mean this is built on mulitplayer. If it didn't then thats a facepalm.
