Question about loading times

I noticed Brawl+ seems to load noticeably more slowly than regular Brawl. This includes victory screens, different modes, pausing, etc. Is this normal?

Really? Same speed for me. Brawl's just pathetically slow. Are you playing more FFAs with + on?

Another thing is that the beginning of a match starting depends on how long you've had your characters/textures chosen. With Brawl+ automating match settings, you may be spending less time in the character select screen.

I find Brawl+ to load faster, unless I load a new texture.

its iffy for me sometimes it loads faster other times it likes taking it sweet *** time

But I'm not using any custom textures though, and I've mostly been trying it with 1v1 so far. But it's really slow. Like maybe 2x or 3 longer loading times than normal. Even if I just press pause or something. Also it takes ages for Zelda/Shiek to transform. Like almost a whole minute sometimes.
