Question about hitstun.

When I'm playing against Fox CPUs they always do jab combos and sometimes I can attack right after the first jab and sometimes I can't (example Marth's fair and Peach's/Fox's nair) Does this mean that you can cancel hit stuns or something?

Depends on your percentage and if they pop you up or not, also you can crouch cancel (just hold down) to stay grounded during an attack and counter attack quickly.
