Question about his Nair

So I recently picked up Charizard and browsing through the topics on here I have noticed everyone saying to use his Nair reversed, and I was just wondering why his Nair is apparently so much better reversed? Is it just because the hitbox extends farther out?

That's exactly why. The reach of the nair when reversed is ridiculous, and the knockback angle is beautiful. Also, if well timed and if the character is tall enough, the very first moment the tail comes out at the 10 o'clock position, it can damage the opponent instantly.
