I'm sure none of you on SWF know who I am because I'm mainly a lurker. I just needed to vent somewhere about my happiness! However, I found out recently something very exciting; I qualified for Junior Debate Nationals in Canada, which is an invitation only tournament that targets grade 7, 8 and 9 students. It's the best of the best that are coming, and I'm extremely pleased to have been invited.
The topic at hand is this house believes Canada should rely on renewable energy sources instead of fossil fuels. I feel as if this debate doesn't really fall into my style of debate which is moral high ground but is still a remarkably interesting debate. Debate's always been there for me whenever I've felt down and gives me a really good sense of accomplishment and happiness. I'm extremely excited for this event and I hope that I can represent the SWF!
