Punch Out!!

This is a punch out thread were anything can be said as long as its punch out related

here are some topics i would like to cover
1: is Punch Out the best boxing game ever (i think it is)
2: why is little mac not playable in Brawl while somone like pit is from what i understand punch out out sold kid icrus
3: who is your fav character in Punch Out (mines soda popinski)
4: you can also talk about super punch out if you want to
5: ways to beat characters or a story about your triumphs or failures if you want to
here is a story of mine this game came out when i was to young to play it well but i use to watch my dad play and he did not know that you could knock Bald Bull down during his bull rush if you hit him in the stomach so he was somehow able to come up with a strategy so he could still beat him sometimes the fights went into the 3rd round but being able to win without being able to hit him out of his bull rush is some real talent at least i think it is.

1.I like fight night better.
2.Because he's an assist trophy.
3.Doc he'd always try to get you to buy nintendo power and he steals your bike.
4.Never played it.
5.I got wrecked by Great Tiger many times because I didn't know how to block.

1. I really don't know much about other boxing games, but I played Punch-Out!! a lot when I was smaller.
2. Not gonna get into that.
3. I like Bald Bull. He's funny looking, and his bull rush is badass.
4. I have never played Super Punch-Out!!, unfortunately.
5. It's been so long since I played it, I can't remember any epic moments. :[

2. Somewhere we have to draw a line on how many characters are playable, look at MK Armageddon, worst MK game yet, but had the most characters available

4. I only played the rom of it, so I never stayed into it enough
5. Bah I got it on the virtual console and got all the way to Mr. Dream pretty easily. Then he whupped my ***. Ah to be young again when I could totally own him, but then again he was called Mike Tyson back then

you dont need to put down things like i did in my first post that was just a general idea but you can write what ever you want thats punch out realted

Also yes its true you need a limit to how many people you could have in the game but i just feel little mac was deserving more then some of the people who made it but that might just be a bias on my part

Here is another story that once again sadly not mine one time when my brother was playing the game he knocked glass Joe out in one punch wich was cool (i must have at least one story of my own i will think about what it is)

Well Punch Out is basically a fan favorite game since the original NES version (since the arcades were never all that popular).

The fact that Little Mac is an assist trophy probably gives him a better chance as a regular character in a future Smash title. With the exception of a few Assists that are obviously jokes or casual throwbacks (Mr. Wright, Nintendog, Mr. Resetti, ect)... many of the assists are characters that are very popular, but just didn't quite make the cut.

You missed a point: Why a Punch Out episode should be made for Wii.
First because the controller allows to play it as we ever wished.
Second because now they could build a story around Little Mac. And I don't mean just a background story, but a story you play into, where events can change the statistics of your char and making him more strong, more quick or more resistent, and with different tecniques.

good one hyper its been so long since the last punch out has been made it never even crossed my mind that the wii would be a great system for a new punch out

Also i remember i was looking punch out up on wikipedia one day (i think it was to see if any of the other characters had a back story) and i read there was a sequel made for the nes that was horrible and most people don't know about it you, box aliens or somthing i don't know much about it but i am not sure if it ever even came out but this is letting people know about it and if anyone has more info on it please comment.

Note: still trying to think up my own cool punch out story i am starting to thing i dont have one
