PS3 Arrived several hours ago and now doesn't work.

I'm serious. 160GB Uncharted: Dark's Fortune Bundle, pulled it out set it up played infamous while downloading demos (Heavenly Sword, Katamari Forever, Mirror's Edge)
. I play for about half an hour and dip for dinner. I come back down and put in Killzone 2, disc isn't read. I put in Infamous and that also didnt read anymore. I searched a bit and found some encounter this when they played for a long time that the lens burned out. but i've only had this for 15 minutes.

I think I may have displaced something when i put the disc in. i noticed now that the first time i inserted the disc i put a slight downward slant on it maybe that done something?

i'm going to to try the "insert CD, if read then insert blu-ray disc" thing. if that fails I'll try to look into that "sensor not touching base of system" thing.

I just dont want to take the console back as i had ordered it and not purchased from the store.

any other solution you folks know of?

Can't give much help other then that, even if you bought it from the store, I'm fairly certain it tells you not to bring it back in case of failure. Instead, I would use your 1 year warranty that comes free with it and return it to sony for free (only if nothing else works of course).

Unless you're an electronics expert, you'll have to contact sony for repairs.

i should have done that, it's been returned to the store. I can't stop getting the feeling like i gave up on such a good deal, like im ripping myself off

a brand new ps3 is malfunctioning the day after i recieved it. I STILL HAD A FREAKING WARRANTY ON IT AND I WAS DUMB ENOUGH TO RETURN IT WHEN IT WAS DISCONTINUED

edit jsut a question to throw out for my knowledge: if i send my ps3 to get fixed while i still got warranty, sony wont charge me? shipping and stuff?
