I posted the following on gamefaqs but I feel that it best applies to this forum.
I know that this concept may have been stated here but keep in mind that I am
just giving my thoughts on the matter.
He’s not flinching?!
He’s not really invincible—he still takes damage. But he won’t flinch in the slightest.
This time, there are several moves like this among the heavy characters, so watch out!
Oh, he also has this special move...
In melee, heavy set characters were pretty much lightweights but stronger...and
slower.
They were just as easy to knockback and their slow speed made them an easy
target for the faster characters.
Now in brawl, things might be more of a favor to the larger characters.
With higher damages being required for a ko not to mention weaker damage
output from melee, larger characters could have a better advantage in close combat
then their melee counterparts.
So with Ike and other characters being described as having "invincible" frames
during special moves, it could be a mistake for a faster character to just move in
expecting to make a quick combo since a counterattack can be made.
To deal with these possible outcomes, projectiles would play a role in
damaging the enemy while still maintaining a distance just safe enough until
you are ready for making such combos without fear of receiving such damage in
return.
Since larger characters require less hits for the kill compared to the lighter, more
agile ones, projectiles could even the requirements.
Of course, this is assuming that larger characters are more tournament
viable this time around.
I recently heard of people, most notibly gimpyfish on his brawl talk, speaking of
this so called super armor that the larger characters have not being present in
the demo unveiled at E for All.
Things might be further improved in the final version so the demo cannot give
justification to its existence.
