Project M won't update on Wii U

The last time I played PM was a long time ago. Now that PM 3.5 is out, I decided to get back into the game. I went through the steps to get Project M to load on my Wii U, and I hit "Update" when I was on the Project M menu. However, instead of updating, it said something about a code dump and I hade to unplug my Wii U to get the machine to turn off. Am I doing something wrong or is my SD card just messed up?

Mine did that too, and I thought it broke my HDMI out. Turns out it was the monitor, though.

This is probably the same issue as here. Solution: disable WiFi entirely, update manually if needed.
