Project M WiFi help..

Whenever I try to play friends online, the game lags pretty badly. As soon as the match is over, I get an error code and disconnect. Anyone know what I can do?

I am using homebrew and gecko on a 1.9 gigabyte SD card. I have the WiFi safe code set.
Could it be because I haven't updated my Wii for a long time? I know my internet isn't THIS bad, as I play DotA 2, Starcraft, and various other games without the slightest bit of lag.

that would be something with brawl's wifi, not PM itself... check if nintendo support can help you...
