Project M reverting back to Brawl?

Every so often, when I have just loaded Project M through homebrew and USB since my CD drive died, (not literally, but pretty much), I would get to the character selection screen and the music will switch to brawl. If i choose a character and pick a stage, it will freeze. If i go back to the menu, all the menu options and stuff will look like brawl. Every so often, like maybe 1/5 tries, it would actually work for about 7 or so matches. There are no custom stages and I just have the default Project M stuff.

get a 2gb sd card the same problem and don't get the sdhc cards get the normal one

Yeah man that happened to me one time. But when I got the normal one, Gdubs didn't work for some reason. I re-downloaded PM and Game and Watch was able to work. But for some reason, his skin got replaced with a 2 ft. tall shrek. I'm not sure how to solve this problem, but it was quite entertaining.
