Sanji Himura
Smash Journeyman
Sanji Himura Presents
A Fort Worth Production
The 2013 Fort Worth Classic
Target Dates: September 21-22, 2013
The Venue
Evo Games
6212 McCart Ave
Fort Worth, TX 76113
Venue Ground Rules:
When you enter the venue, say you are with the "Fort Worth Classic" group, and you will be pointed out to me. I will be wearing a FWC shirt if you spot me early.
Evo Games will have access to wifi, but us having it for a stream is very unlikely. I could be convinced to moan at them to have it for a stream if someone would provide stream equipment.
Please no outside food or drink. If I see drugs or alcohol, you will be DQ'd for the ENTIRE weekend. If I smell it on you, instant DQ for the ENTIRE weekend. If I even THINK that you are under the influence, instant DQ for the ENTIRE weekend.
The Committee
May I introduce the men who will make the planned regional possible:
Sanji Himura - The Head organizer of the Fort Worth Classic since its inception in 2007. The Fort Worth Classic is a series of tournaments that celebrates all things fighters.
SaiXeven - Head Organizer of the Final Crusade tournaments. As of this post, The Final Crusade series completed its fourth tournament 12/22/2012.
Sethlon - Head Organizer of the Bowser's Revenge tournaments. As of this post, the last Bowser's Revenge completed its fifth tournament on December 15th, 2012.
If you wish to join us, PM me, but you MUST have run a Project M tournament past post time(this means after this post), AND you must be willing to be interviewed on Facebook by committee members. This is to encourage widespread adoption of the code set.
Do keep in mind, that we will officially announce committee members in sets of three to maintain our constitution.
Our Rules
We will maintain a private Facebook group so that we can debate the issues that are involved with the widespread adoption of Project M and the intricacies of our ruleset. Sort of like a Project M Back Room. Any new members will not be invited to the group by existing members without approval, and those who do, the member that they invite in will promptly be kicked out.
- Any action that bans characters in Project M will require 3/4 super majority among committee members, and will be re-evaluated after the next build.
- Stage list alterations, and general rules alterations will require a simple majority, and will take effect during the current build.
- Other procedural matters will also require a simple majority.
- Adoption of New Members will require 2/3 majority.
Our Goals
We will have three goals to make this tournament a success:
1. Spread Project M throughout the Southwest, and ultimately the Nation.
2. Build a local scene that is strong enough to host a regional on a yearly basis.
3. Allow Project M to mature as a game.
