i just need to know how good or bad the netcode is and thats it. is it like smash 4 or is it brawl?

It's more like Brawl's, maybe in between. But on average, I'd say that it's much better than it used to be with these new, independent servers.

Wifi is the same as Brawl's. Since barely anyone is left, you'll probably have a hard time finding matches, let alone ones with low ping.
However, Dolphin netplay is a thing now. It's a lot smoother and most players have jumped ship to it, you can very easily find people on SmashLadder.
