Project M Online?

Is there any way to play Project M online on the Wii or Wii U? I currently do not have a computer strong enough to support Project M and Netplay, so I'm trying to see if I can just play through the Wii/WiiU. Also, if there is a solution, would I be forced to use the Wi-Fi Safe package, or could I use the full set with another person who has the full set?

Sorry if these questions are a bit dumb, I've never really done anything with Brawl online or Project M online, so...

I'm not sure but I think it's possible through Homebrew? I'm not very sure but I think that will be the only way. I've been looking up ways to play online for about 3 days and everyone just says Netplay but i think Homebrew might work.
