Hello. I've been saving money to buy myself a new PC for playing Project M, some other games, and also make Youtube videos. I'm asking if this Laptop will be a good choice for Project M, as it runs smooth with no input lag. If their are any concerns over graphical glitches or input lag. Please tell me and also recommend a better laptop. (PS: I was going to buy a desktop PC, but I have no room for it and I can also take the Laptop on the go as well.) Thank You for your help!

I'm not sure so much about that laptop. It doesn't seem to have a graphics card which will poorly affect your game's performance. I have a laptop that I bought for college to work on and while it can run PM, it lags if there is two players or more and doesn't run smoothly.

I can't imagine that laptop will run PM smooth either, especially while being recorded. I recommend either an Alienware laptop or an Acer laptop.

I have a laptop with the same processor but 8gb of ram, and it runs PM fine with power settings set on full performance. Anything less than the i7 processor though and you've got no chance of running it without dedicated graphics.

For me the best solution was a high-end gaming PC squeezed into one of these http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=536 which fits just fine in a big back pack with a couple GC controllers + adapter, all for the price of a mediocre laptop. There are smaller cases though (or steam machines and whatnot)

I'd recommend it over a laptop since it's essentialy a big console that allows you to play PM at 1080p + AA + shaders + lagless without worrying about performance or temperature.

I have a laptop with an i5 and an intel graphics card and it runs pm fine on dolphin as long as I tinker with the settings and am not running anything else
Really? That's pretty cool. I know my friend and I tried to set it up on his (i5) laptop and it was super laggy, so I guess we just misattributed the blame there.

specifically I think i have an i5 4200 running at 1.9? ghz with intel graphics 4400

I was having issues with lag for awhile but if I found that I set the max framerate to 65 or 70 it would run fine at anywhere between 59 and 62

My laptop which has a i5-5500U (no dedicated GPU, intel hd graphics 5000) can run PM at 60fps straight when it's plugged in, even if 4 players are on screen with items. I'd be surprised if that laptop couldn't run PM at 60 fps.

yeah, we were really surprised given his lack of issues with other games. Maybe we just hadn't messed around with settings enough or something.

I feel as if people need to stop saying I5 or I7 can run the game. GHZ is going to be a major factor here. There is lots of I5s and I7s that are clocked at or below 2 Ghz, and from experience this will cause lag in fullscreen with multiple players. I'd suggest a processor that is atleast 3.0 ghz and that has good single core performance. Dolphin can do dual core for speed-up but additional processors don't seem to help much past that. I have an I7 at home that does not run PM unless its in windowed mode and 1-2 players, it even has a dedicated GPU with 1 gig of memory. However, My AMD 1100T gets 60 fps the whole time with a HD radeon 5970. The I7 is only clocked at 2.2 ghz and my AMD is overclocked at 4.3 ghz. This is the determining factor I feel. I would make sure whatever laptop that you pick, has atleast 3 GHZ listed in the specs. Another example is my I3 clocked at 3.8 ghz with no external GPU(coincidentally it scores very high on single core performance) gets a solid 60 fps in fullscreen at 1080P with four players on the screen. Another thing to note is laptop processors are totally different from desktop. an I7 clocked at 2.3 for a desktop will perform differently than an I7 clocked at 2.3 for a laptop. I like the suggestion to get a silverstone cube.

I5 / I7 don't really actually have too much to do with the game performance itself. It really has to do with what TYPE of i5 or i7 you get and your graphics card as well... just keep looking.
