Project M installation on mac?

So, I just tried to boot up PM on brawl, but every time I do, the game freezes. I heard about making sure the gameconfigs on the root of the sd card, but I'm not sure how to do this on a mac. I have the right kind of sd card and everything, I just don't know what to do. If anyone has done this on a mac, or has any knowledge of macs, please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks in advance.

When does it freeze?

You need to have all custom stages in stage builder deleted. This includes all of the ones from brawl originally.

It freezes right when I go into stage builder.
Also, there are stages that I cannot delete. Is there anyway how I can?

Turn off the smash download service on wifi (i think that's what it's called. The wifi service that sends you pictures and stages once per day), then wait 24 hours.
