Hey, everyone!

I wasn't exactly sure where to post this, but considering this has to do with custom content for PM, I figured this would be the best place to post it. Long story short:

I HATE TOON LINK, AND I WANT TO KNOW HOW TO MAKE YOUNG LINK SKINS FOR HIM.

...Okay, maybe that's a bit of a harsh statement to make. It's not that I hate Toon Link as opposed to the fact that I just never really took to the Windwaker-esque art style. It might be a bit stiff of me to say this, but Legend of Zelda to me has always something akin to Shadow of the Colossus: fantastical, grandiose, and epic. While there are humorous characters and such, it's always had a very serious and beautiful feel to it visually. And, because I was a nub when I first played smash in the 64 days and Melee, I was always a bit too slow to use Link. So when I found that Young Link was in Melee, I was stoked. I'm not saying I'm a great Young Link player, either, but I use him better than Link, that's for certain.

Anyways, when Brawl came out, I was hoping for his return, but what I got instead was Toon Link (*hurk*). SO yeah, ever since that point, I've pretty much shied away from the character because of how much I disliked the art style. Also, I discovered Wolf (RIP Smash 4 Dream). So, once I started playing Project M and started learning how to do some of my own changes and stuff, I've always wanted to know how I might be able to reskin Toon Link into Young Link. If I can get something rolling, I'll post my work back here.

I have the latest version of Brawlbox (though I'm still really shaky on how to use it). Does anyone have any suggestions on what other tools/programs I'm going to need?

See, Sanic, I would normally agree with you there. However, it seems that even Brawl Vault is failing me. The only Young Link textures and such that are available on Brawl Vault (at least the one that goes over Toon Link) are dated all the way back to 2013, and it's not even compatible with Project M. It's why I'm kind of posting this plea for help, looking for resources/ideas/instruction as to how I might accomplish this myself. Heck, I'd even contract someone out if I had to in order to make this a reality.

Kind of a call for help, really. Willing to do as much work as needed so long as someone can show me the way, because I really don't where I would even start. Kinda looking for contacts, really.

EDIT: I did see some other Twilight Princess ones that looked pretty cool, but I think those went over Link and not Toon Link for some weird reason. Also, I still don't know if they're compatible with PM.

wiztick wiztick , Do you know if I can just import the skin textures, SFX, and animations over from that build to my own? Like, that build looks cool, don't get me wrong, but I just kinda want Young Link skins and aesthetics lol. I still want my build to be competitively viable, so I can't change any hitboxes for any of the characters.
