When I first installed Project M a few days ago my Wii was not hacked so I have the hackless version. Since then I have hacked it. Will I need to erase the previous Project M files and get the homebrew version to be able to play it? I am scared of bricking my console so I have not tried it.

Project M Homebrew Question

its not the homebrew version of PM that may brick, its the process of actually hacking your system in hte first place.
granted, anything can go wrong at anytime. but that holds true anyway.

I already hacked it and the console is fine. What I am asking is since I only have the hackless version of Project M on the SD card, will it play just fine on my hacked console?
uh yea, hacked consoles dont lose abilities. you can play hackless using the normal method.
dont see why youd bother though. homebrew means you boot PM straigh up, instead of going to brawl/map creator first

Well I just tried to load up project M and my console froze. I'll just get the homebrew version. thx though.
seems like correlation rather than causation.
