First off, I'd like to say that this is my first post on this website, but I've been lurking for quite some time.
I enjoyed Project M and its additions almost as much as I've enjoyed the original game, and I'd like to support this community by giving my two cents...
How To: Convert a SD Card That is Greater Than the 2GB "Project M" Limit, Down to 2GB
[Only compatible with Windows platforms.]
1: Press "Windows" + "R" to open the Run window.
2: In this window, type "cmd" Then, hit "Enter".
3: In the black window that opens up, (Command Prompt) type "diskpart" Then, hit "Enter".
4: Windows may ask for your permission to run the program, if so, just click "Yes".
Once 'diskpart' opens, type "list disk" Then, hit "Enter".
5: Diskpart will display all disks that are currently on your system, you must choose your SD card in the following step. I labeled the drives shown according to their 'Disk ###'. Here, mine's Disk 1.
6: Select your SD card according to its Disk #.
(Warning: accidentally choosing your HDD here could result in a formatted hard drive.)
7: Now, just "clean" it.
(If done correctly, your SD should now look like mine does above.)
We're now done with diskpart, type "exit" to leave.
8: Go back to the Run window, ("Windows" + "R") and type "diskmgmt.msc".
(Doing so will get you here.)
9: Scroll down until you encounter your recently formatted SD.
(Should be a large, black, 'unallocated' rectangle.)
10: Right-click and select "New Simple Volume...".
11: A "New Simple Volume Wizard" window should pop-up, when it does, keep pressing "Enter" until you reach the same two windows as the pictures below.
12: Finally, copy the options you see in the pictures below.
(Volume label = SD's name; this can be whatever you want.)

That is all. If done correctly, you should now have a 2GB SD card, regardless of its original size.
