As part of the CEO 2014 festivities, Project M Fighermania is about to start! Today's event promises a 16-man free-for-all event with unconventional rules, allowing items and even Smash Balls. The 16 competitors were picked by a Twitter vote, and consists of several community favorites. CEO host Jebailey and Project M have also teased a special announcement, that many Smashers are hoping will be a trailer for a Project M update. The event was schedules for 8:00, but has been delayed - stay tuned!

Looks like they're still in CvS2 finals.
Streams are nice for some people, but it's still not very impressive on public wifi.

Oh hey, they handed over the belt. That WAS pretty cool.

I usually have to watch on Low quality anyway; I mean how my experience is basically 15 seconds of stream, 10 seconds of buffering... all after it takes 20 minutes to load the stream in the first place. It's like I'm playing Chrono Trigger on the PSX.

Oh, and Fightermania is starting!

Sounds like a test to see if people want to see action similar to what we saw at the invitational at E3 this year.

I gotta admit, I did enjoy watching it a lot, but the all-star cast was a big part of that.

Kinda expecting the winner of the grand finals to be greeted with a "warning! challenger approaching!" and havta fight Little Mac. Little Mac's model with animations for plenty of dashes and punches are already there as a nice base. I wouldn't be too surprised if they've been hard at work to present a Smash4 newcomer as well as one of the community's biggest requests before he was announced.
EDIT: Oh, all-star vs mode. That's pretty awesome too.

I ask because my stream unbuffered onto that picture, so I'm not sure if any context was given. Cute costumes, though. Classic Pit brings a smile to my face.

They wouldn't put Smash 4 newcomers in because they don't want to get on Nintendo's bad side.

Ah, really? Shame since Lil Mac's model is there, some minor tweaks could make him look more modern, but yeah. Hm. Then I guess they could shrink down Ridley and add him or... I think I saw solo Pokemon Trainer in the Mewtwo trailer, that'd be a hilarious and fun character. Win poses, character art, colors, and voice clips are there along with other things... With a bike and some rocks he could be a fully fleshed character! Okay, I've found my new hope for the future haha
