if you don't mind me asking, why are you using gecko os instead of the PM launcher?..
Anways that error is caused by the gameconfig.txt to be missing or broken... make sure you've got the files listed in the troubleshooting picture in my signature in the root of your sd card...

Did you check to see if the gameconfig.txt file exists?

What version of Gecko OS are you using? The current version is 1.9.3.1.

The Project M launcher should usually work fine. Using Gecko OS is more of a fallback method for if it doesn't work.

If all else fails, then try a clean reinstall (remove everything Project M-related from the SD card, download again, move them back to the card).

just put everything from the download in the folder then open homebrew and open projectM. Check that your brawl disc is in the WIi
