Project M 3.5 Character Suggestions?

I recently placed 3rd in a Project M local tourney without any prior Project M experience. I am a Melee player though, and I found Project M to be a fun experience. I'm thinking of picking up Project M and I'd like to hear to character suggestions from more experienced people. Who is good? because I picked Fox and i'd rather play someone other than my Melee main.

Pretty much everyone is good except ice climbers and Olimar right now. Although sadly with the way 3.5 redesigned everyone, the spacies are kind of dominating the cast this patch
