Problems with the C-stick when played on the Wii...

When I play Super Smash Bros. Melee on the Wii, the c-stick (smash attacks) don't work 99.9% of the time, i.e. missed inputs (this happens A LOT)... whereas — when I play on the Gamecube — the c-stick works 100% of the time.

Does anyone else experience this? I'm not crazy, am I? Is the Wii emulating Melee or something? What could cause this hindrance on controls?

Are you using an adapter or a backwards compatible Wii? It sounds like it could have something wrong because the Wii does not emulate the Gamecube on any level, it just slows the processor and locks out some operational codes so the games run 100% the same.

Backwards compatible Wii. I have a Gamecube too.

Are you running any custom IOSs or anything homebrew related? I don't think that would affect it at all, but I'm out of answers and it's the only other thing that comes to mind that would cause that.
I know in Brawl and PM that the deadzones on the sticks are calculated differently than Melee's, which is why the control sticks function differently.

No, it's a 100% legit Wii.
