Problem With Texture Hacking

Sorry to ask but, I've done many things to try and texture hack or download others but it won't show the textures....

I've downloaded things where it says "Just copy this to the root of your SD Card and load it up with Gecko OS" or something like that but nothing works.

First my problem was that every time I'd load the codes from Gecko OS the game would freeze straight away, but now I'm around that and the textures don't show....

And no I don't have a SDHC Card or something like that ( Sorry if that sounded mean).
If anyone could help me, THANK YOU!

Thx for your time :chuckle:

:ness2: GO NESS!

What folder are you putting the textures in and what are they named?

YES, Finally a Working one!!!!

Though it freezes a lot... Is there a way to make it freeze less with PAL?

Make sure the codes are PAL codes and not NTSC codes. The main way is to check the File Replacement Code Version, if it is 2.1 than you're most likely fine, but if it's higher than you most likely have an NTSC code list because the newest File Replacement Code hasn't been ported to PAL yet.

To check your codes, get Code Manager and open up your GCT with it (if you can, I forget). If you can't open it with code manager, see if the place you downloaded it from has a .txt file with the codes or if they list the codes in it.

My main problem before hand was that the File Replacement code I used was an older 1. And the new 1 had made it freeze less, but it's working now.

Though it freezes SO MUCH!

What version are you using? And what other codes are you using? Make sure you are using no NTSC codes, or else it will freeze. Also, what version of Gecko are you using?

My Wii version is 4.2, I'm only using the File Replacement code and I'm using a PAL code. I'm using the latest version of Gecko (1.9.3.1)

Ok well here is the link of the files I downloaded:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HHYJIW3G

In the codes folder I used the PAL File Replacement v1.3 instead cuz it freezes less, and I'm only using Fighter and Stage in the pf section.

My problem is that at the end of every battle it goes black and freezes or if it doesn't it goes to the result screen then freezes, so I can only have 1 battle at a time. :(

I took a look at your files and can't really tell what's wrong, but by what your saying your problem is it sounds like a moveset problem. Are you using any custom movesets for characters? They may the problem if you are. If you are, have you tried a match not using custom movesets?

Duffy, you're not using the latest File Replacement code for PAL, you need 2.1.

Code:
File Replacement v2.1a' PAL [Phantom Wings, Y.S.]

Sorry but what's a moveset?
A FitChar.pac file. Not a FitChar##.pac/FitChar##.pcs, those are textures. Replace the Char with the character. Let me see.... Zero is an example of a moveset hack.

And use the code that Falco provided, it might solve your problems if it doesn't have to do with the moveset.
