Problem with Classic Controller Pro

This is my issue. Ike main. When I hold the B button down for side-B, far too often the Quick Draw occurs even though I haven't stopped pressing the B Button. It additionally goes only a short distance before his quick draw attack comes out. If I tap B I can use Ike's minimum distance quick draw for combos, grabs and QD attack, but you can probably guess that this is *hilariously* limiting. Not being able to charge side-B also results in a much worse recovery and some pretty annoying SDs.

I can still charge side-B onn occasion if I press B with extreme force, or from a certain angle, but this is not consistent nor desirable for ease of play. Any advice on fixing this problem would be appreciated, including perhaps a way to take apart and clean or tweak the controller.

(And while I understand it must be tempting, please don't advise me to use a GC controller instead. This is what works for me.)

Any help is much appreciated. As someone who needs to hold down B very often, this is really distressing.

If you set "special" to another button, does that fix it? That would help narrow it down a bit, whether its because of the internal membrane or something like that.

Like, try setting it to another face button and then to a shoulder button.

There needs to be a sticky for this:

Wiimotes do NOT give consistent signal. Bluetooth does NOT provide perfect upstream.
It sends out 1600 signals a second, and Smash Bros checks if the button is pressed 60 times a second. Generally, that's enough to give the illusion of uninterrupted connection, and definitely enough for a button press to register. But, when an input is held, the Wii relies on checking if the button has been released. If the Bluetooth's failed signals reached a certain threshold in that frame, it registers as released. You'll stop running, you'll drop your shield, you'll release your quickdraw, etc.

TURN OFF BLUETOOTH ON EVERYTHING ELSE
COMPUTERS, PHONES, TABLETS, UNUSED WIIMOTES, HEADSETS, PS3 CONTROLLERS

I was also using a Classic Controller Pro for PM and noticed this problem, and Kit Cal-N is correct. Although I made sure no other Bluetooth devices were active in my area it was still registering a button release all the time, so I just bought a new Gamecube controller.
I know you said not to advise you to get a Gamecube controller, but a wired controller is the only way to fix your problem, so the choice you face is A) A wired controller, or B) Learn to put up with this problem.

EDIT: First post on this forum, didn't mean to make the whole post a hyperlink to Kit Cal-N's profile, woops haha.

Ugh. I have a larger issue of owning a newer model Wii that doesn't have slots for GC memory card or GC controllers. So ... yeah. I guess I have to regulate bluetooth better, try to make my Wiimote smooth as possible and look into getting an adapter from my controller if I ever want to do something competitive.

Then your best option is to never hold a command down long enough for it to effect it! Powershield, foxtrot, QDWD :p

EDIT: 95 million Wiis with GC ports were sold. I'm sure you can find one for cheap.

. . . I guess I have to . . . look into getting an adapter from my controller if I ever want to do something competitive.
I will introduce myself by saying I've been smashing since Smash64, but my friends and I have only learned advanced techniques and have risen to competition level since we found Project M at 2.5.
Now... there's no way to explain myself that won't incur the wrath and scorn of the veteran Melee warriors, but I have never liked the GC controller, and to this day I cannot fathom how it remains the predominate controller on the competitive scene. I wonder if many veterans in fact do not use standard/vanilla GC controllers and have at least removed the springs for the triggers.
It would be awesome if someone was selling modified controllers online perhaps with the PM logo on them, but I digress.

TL;DR
My real question is: Is there an adapter for the CC Pro that plugs into the GC ports?
I bought the damn controller because I could clearly see the cord and I don't remember the box showing it connecting to a wiimote either.
Honestly I would rather go full heathen and use my precision engineered 360 controller, but apparently that means I need a 360 to PS2 adapter and a PS2 to NGC adapter, and that's just bakabakashii.
