You have like at least 7-8 frames before nair comes out and you can jab on reaction VERY easily. I'm so tired of seeing so many people ***** about this tech when it's really so easy to deal with.

Also, if for some reason you shield (just don't), most characters have enough time to nair out of shield before he can f/bair you while descending. Worst case scenario you will trade with him.

8 frames is 0.133 seconds. This is significantly lower than average human reaction time. Even if you do react in 8 frames, your jab doesn't come out for another 2-3 frames so you actually have to react in a tenth of a second at most. Face it, hover nair out of teleport has to be read.

Doesn't he, uhh, take like 28 frames start to finish to even act out of teleport?
Nobody said you have to react to the nair
Jabs are noncommittal enough that if he teleports anywhere else, like above you, you can react and shield/roll/punish if possible.
The real issue is that this solution expects you to be standing still and that Mewtwo doesn't end up behind you after teleport.

It's pretty ****ing easy to read when Mewtwo becomes a white dot off in the distance.

Play Mewtwo for 1 day and learn the spacing. Playing around teleport becomes really easy. If you stand at a more mid range rather than long, you can punish him for whiffing teleport all day. A lot of Mewtwo players completely freak when they can't get in the right range they want.

in early 2003, the melee ganondorf players thought that their character could be as good as sheik, they just had to "aim better"

You also can't hit him during his teleport though so the 8 frame window is still somewhat relevant.

Why is this not in the Mewtwo subforum.
Is this really that common of a complaint.
Mewtwo's teleport is really cool, not OP.
Stop whining, whiners. M2 is pretty cool.
Stop deriding whiners. Battling M2 is hard.

Sadly enough it actually is that common of a complaint. Bunch o' weiners that can't get good.

Yes, the entire community. Literally every person. That's what I hate about this community. Everyone's a bunch of ****ing whiners that complain about THE dumbest **** ever just because they don't know how to deal with it, and completely write off every bit of advice ever given to them, so then they complain even harder when they never learn how to deal with it when the answers were in their face the whole time. Remember that time people ******* about Link boomerangs and Mario fireballs? Remember when complaining about Fox/Falco covered over half the visible threads in general discussion? What happened to all of that? Some dude kicks the **** out of M2K one time because he had no idea what he was doing and everyone loses their ****ing minds. Emukiller did nothing more than call out M2K's current incompetence in a set. You know who he got wrecked by really soon after? A Diddy that forced Emukiller to realize how actually unsafe his options really were.

/ Those grand finals were two people that have been playing Melee Mewtwo since before 2006.
