I know it's still a bit early, but I'm still wondering about Ganondorf's relative position in regards to strength, offensive and defensive.

Is Ganondorf still that overall power character? I'm sure most players would say yes, but some would go further and state that Ganondorf loses a little ground to Ike, King DeDeDe, and Bowser. That is, Ganondorf is no longer considered the most overall powerful character.

And on the defensive end, I know Ganondorf was pretty heavy in Melee and thus harder to kill. How does Brawl Ganondorf rank in difficulty to KO among the characters?

I would like to know this too!

Ive seen videos of people playing ganon by spamming Fair and his dash grab it makes him feel weak, i think cause the dash grab doesnt have knockback and the Fair has been nerfed.

The videos where he stays on the ground and connects with his tilts and F smash hes looks godly powerful.

In terms of defense he doesnt seem to live as long as bowser or dedede, but he also seems to recover almost instantly from hard hits from low to mid %s.

These are just observations :>

yea hes got more KO moves - if not most or all of his moves are good KO ability, but more than melee.
and yea hes strong but this time it doesnt make up for his speed. Ganon is up there with Ike, DDD and Koopa, but its more of a struggle to play and takes alot more skill/determination.

To answer ur question hes still got that POWER we all love.
@T03nemesis
yea he might not live as long cuz of the wizards foot with no extra jump and his other nerfs. And he still does have a few combos but not as much as melee. Fair is pretty limited now his good aerials are Bair, Uair, Dair once in a while(not easy to spam like melee), Nair is not so bad either. Dashing isnt so good now but his DashAtk is better its kinda faster and covers a bit of distance.

Sry if i make him seem bad but hes not just harder to adapt to from melee, but hes really strong its just not as easy to connect atks or combo

Ganon has the quickest attacks of all the power characters, but he also has some of the shortest range.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Ganon's range is huge for a character without a disjointed hitbox. I think D3 and Ike are the only heavies that outrange him overall. And Ganon still has fast attacks, like his forward-B, jab, uair, and dash attack( his dash attack is like Sheik's old one, but it can kill).

So yeah, Ganondorf maybe a little slower, but he's much stronger. He has the potential to be at least mid tier.
