Smash Apprentice
Suppose you can predict that your opponent being falco is going to FHDL. First is it wise to try to powershield the first laser? (I'm thinking if you are close enough the first laser will be reflected stunning your opponent allowing you to smash him back off the stage, totally eliminating his second jump.) If so, is there a way you could , by watching his first move (dropping down to set up) perfectly predict when you should shield? I guess what I am asking is is there a set amount of time assuming your opponent is performing a "perfect FHDL" (whatever that is) from point A, dropping down to point B the laser lining up to your shield, obviously depending on your positioning on the stage, that you could just memorize? OR is this all too fickle and simply up how your opponent wants to time it?
Perhaps just watching the laser would be more effective.
The way I see it is the only variable is your position on the stage, from there I guess you just need to know exactly how fast the laser travels, with these to things you could come up with a number of milliseconds it takes from falco's laser to your position.
Tell me if I'm crazy.
