Potentially good Mario technique involving fludd.

I was fiddling with Martio (intentional typo) and found a Nice tech with Mario. While charging flood, you can instantly grab with Z. (L or R cancels the charge)

It's quite useful on those who chase in on Mario and try to attack him (or grab) him while charging. You can grab them, or safely charge the fludd by grabbing, then recharging. Seriously, unless your facing a projectile user, your safe for charging flood.

Well, I wouldn't say safe. You're really better off shielding against some characters (Marth, Metaknight) because our range is greater than your grab range (hell, our grab range is better than yours too)

Also, Mario's grab box isn't disjointed, so it loses to most attacks anyway.

I suppose. But ignoring Marth, it's easy to grab (or surprise) a close range fighter.

This is known but I guess this is good because some people might not know this. Also, Mario's walk-canceled grab gives Mario a nice boost in grab range.
