Where: The CyberDen, Columbia, MD. www.cyberden.com for location.
When: To be announced..mid september(either 15th, or 22nd). Sorry for the mix up before.
Events: Singles (15 dollars per entry), doubles..if enough people sign up (20 dollars per team). Prizes will be based on the number of people attending.
Rules: Double-Elimination, best out of 3 for each round. Pretty much standard MLG rules for staging, counterpicking, etc.
Also, they're interesting in having a smash lock in over night at the place. details tba.
The CyberDen is a Nod3 or a CyberConXion (for people who are familiar with the MD gaming scene) like gaming center that recently expanded into quite a large building. They have 10 fully functioning TVs set up for smash, and 2 projector screens. The place is big enough to sport 100 people comfortably.
Anybody who's interested in attending should reply to the thread; it's a great place to smash, the building is spacious and staff is really friendly. The Baltimore / Washington / Northern VA smash scene is really big, so we're hoping for a turnout of at least 30 people. If you live in the area and love smash, it's worth coming. They've held 3 local tournaments that were relatively small, but successful.
Again, if you're interested in attending, reply to this thread. We're trying to get an idea of how many people would like to attend. If enough people respond, we'll make the tournament official.
Sorry about the delays everyone; the people who run the cyberden have been swamped with work because of the move . Details on a tournament date will be released.
