I'm currently looking into getting a large tournament in NEPA organized, not just a local one but state wide or tri state area if possible. It would be held in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area.
I would be planning this for optimally February of 2016 so there is plenty of time to plan and generate hype. I know I'm pretty much unknown in the smash community but I would like to get something going on that could draw in a large number of people, and hopefully become slightly more known.
We have the Mohegan Sun Casino, 2 airports within an hour drive, and I've already had a conference center/hotel show interest in hosting this.
What I'm mainly asking for is contacts, who should I talk to, any advice on running an event of this size anything that would help me with this.
