Post Brawl

I havn't really seen this discussed but it seems to be an interesting issue (to me anyway) so I figured what the heck.

I have been listening to the podcasts lately (Brilliant idea btw.) and it really makes the whole community of smash feel.. more alive? Something along those lines. Anyway, to my point.

What is in store for these things like SMYN and the two newer ones (SmashDash and BrawlTalk (sorry if I am missing any)) once brawl comes out? Perhaps Youk or Gimp could comment on this but as a community of smashers, I'd like to see others opinions too.

So what are thoughts on this? As for myself, I think it'd be pretty BA to maybe do a every other week segement maybe on recent happenings, character tactics, stuff like that. I rather enjoy the concept of it all XD.

Thank you for the kind words - I'll keep this open so there can be community reactions and whatnot and so Gimpy and 2nd can weigh in on their respective projects.

As of right now, plans are for Show Me Your News to continue every few weeks after release, with much of the content that you've already stated. It certainly will not be weekly and I think every other week is still too much of a stretch. This has the potential to change in the future, but that's the way SMYN stands right now.

Well I think even monthly at first might be too much XD. Will all be to busy playing Brawl haha. But thank you, this is something I think the Smash Community could really get creative with. I'm a huge fan of stuff like this, hence my interest in where it might be going.

Naw, I doubt it. This is only gonna be the central place for anything involving it to come... like trading stages, screenshots, records, etc.

Only a matter of time till everyone joins SWF. Spouting how Meta Knight's THE greatest character ever.

Anyway, monthly SMYN sounds pretty okay. It could showcase some of the best stages, greatest challengers, and other stuff like that. And for the first episode after Brawl... SPOILERS!!

lol poor baby, but i dont think this board will die with Brawls release it will just simmer down a little then sprin back up for arranging tourneys and just new general smash brawl knowledge people may not no

How can brawl mean this boards demise?

I don't think people realize how much a website like this is actually needed to get the full effect of the online capabilities (assuming it isn't laggy). I just sent gimpyfish a PM and if he finds the idea worth talking about, hopefully he can elaborate better than I on what I mean later on. (I just reread this last statement and I laugh at it's vagueness haha)
