watch this video. someone copy while using desynch tricks so the cpu adapts. and watch them do it for us and learn.

anyone think this could be something extraordinary?
that or tell me if i'm completely wrong =]
CPU's aren't good at copying ATs. Mortar dashing turns into a Dash attack>Up Smash, and Glide tossing become roll, then toss.

They copy the move sequence, but they alter the timing to their needs. Which normally isn't the correct timing to activate the ATs.

Also, most desynchs are found to require an enemy attacking the pikmin, so you'd have to teach 2 CPUs to work together, and thats probably not going to work.

ahh that makes sense, i was thinking more of a solo timing for it. Cause we know that it doesn't necessarily require, but since they altar timing for their own need it wouldn't work out that way. thanks for the info

On the other hand, I think they made a hack that lets you go through frame-by-frame, so you can probably analyze de-synch well with that.

right over there
I still say that we should look into getting an event-by-event decoded from the replay somehow, and looking at the order of occurences there. That's the only surefire way to understand desyncing that I can think of.
