For the past few weeks i've been taking my Wii up to my hangout bar on Tuesday nights and having everyone play there. I took smash bros brawl up there, and after talking with the bar manager(who happens to be one of my good friends) about the crowd that was around Gamestop for the midnight release he said he would be interested in hosting a tournament.
I don't know how many people would be willing to head up to the Texoma area(namely in Pottsboro) for a tournament so I figured I'd put this out there and see if there's any interests. i'm going to try and post a flyer at the gamestop as well.
There's two big screen t.v.'s, but only one Wii. If there is enough interest maybe someone could bring a second console for us. The bar is dead on Tuesdays so they could use a little life. If you're interested send me a pm or just reply on the thread. I would like to get a tournament scene going locally. Although I don't mind driving down to Dallas on the occasional weekend for a tournament, I know it's not really going to be feasible for me to do this all the time, and I'm sure some of you have the same problem.
If it's successful I'd like to make it a weekly thing. I have my Wii up there every Tuesday anyway, so it wouldn't be anything too different for me.

Oh yeah also guess I should mention. You don't have to be 21 or older to get into the bar. The owner likes to consider it a "family establishment." Without trying to sound like an advertisement they serve food as well. Obviously though any minors drinking alcohol or anyone serving a minor alcohol will be asked to leave.
