Possible Smashfest in Long Beach?!

i'll be in long beach ca from october 9th-12th (getting in at 9.30pm on the 9th and leaving the 12th at like 11am though so meh)

spoke to near, madrush has been totally MIA FROM THE SKYPE CHAT but i kinda want to get some good old west coast action in while i'm there.

ideally we can play at my hotel room that way i don't have to worry about a ride or anything like that. near was talking about maybe getting a place at ucsd buttttt mreh

anyway thursday the 10th i'll be attending a reading and my plans afterwards are iffy - i'm trying to go out with a buddy afterward to celebrate me getting one of my pieces PUBLISHED IN AN INDEPENDENT MAGAZINE. i'm hoping he makes the drive out from LA. so if anybody wants to play on thursday, i'm down literally all day until 7pm and then who knows what.

however i'll also be available all day on friday and perhaps most of the night assuming i don't go buckwild around town.

basically, i'll be able to solidify plans like the week before, and i'd hate for anyone to make a drive and then only play for an afternoon or something. if ya'll socal folk are down to travel in the morning, i'm down to wake up and play until nightfall. preferably in my hotel room haha

maybe JAIME will go to the border and near will give him a lift

also amon amarth you live closer to LB than near does wtf you talking about a 3 hour drive and **** dawg

maybe BANE on CONTROLLER? maybe HIPSTUR with his PUPPY?

mehh i'll make updates to this as necessary and when i see madrush next week i'll ask him more in depth questions

alright here's the deal

thursday is the reading at 7pm- i don't know if we're going out afterwards yet, but like i said, i am more than willing to wake up at a stupid hour to play smash

friday i have to go to dinner at 7:30 pm and i don't know what will be going on afterwards

so basically if ya'll want to play i guess thursday all day would be a good time or all day friday until evening

Awesome thanks for the heads up, i'll definitely look into this. I've never really gotten the chance to play smash 64 with any non-noobs. And by noobs I mean people have NEVER played smash 64. It would be a breath of fresh air to learn from something other than repeated matches against CPUs.

when i get to my hotel i'll update this again but i'm staying at the Marriott by the airport (lbg) and my flight gets in like 9something tomorrow night

sawamular that'd be great. i hate having to cut fests short buttt i got commitments and ish so yeah. and hour and a half or two hours is better than zero. i still have no idea what's going on thursday night after this reading but i might just say **** it and wander LB by myself and hope for the best.

illuminatus if you're around during the day thursday/friday we can play. or maybe even wednesday night depending on how exhausted i am
