Possible platform dash?

Well with the new wavelanding(landing with an attack) I was thinking would it be possible to cancel an attack on a platform? I knew you could do it with samus, so I tried to do it, and you can cancel your up air on battle field with a shorthop and good timing. I was thinking apply this to a back air, and maybe you would waveland.
