I've been practicing vs CPUs during my time between weeklies, and also happened to be watching EVO :D

Just watching so many tournaments with Fox players stringing together Uthrows over and over and over again made me want to try and emulate it with Falco. So naturally, I hit the lab (ala training mode for myself lol) and began practicing, taking into account the different changing knockback due to lasers.

Pretty much what I've found is that it seems to be a true chaingrab from 0-30%, but after that, Fox is able to throw out a quick Nair or even a jab on ground if you aren't precise enough. Honestly tho, this could have been frame-1 CPU reactions.

Anyone else given it a shot? Are the computers just DIing pretty badly against me, or could this actually be a thing you could chain into Usmash, etc?

up throw and back throw can be good di mix ups that may lead to another grab if your opponent is not paying attention. Zhu performs this sometimes, but you really have to know that your opponent is "good/bad enough" to di improperly to avoid other mix ups. IOW it can be a DI trap if you understand what I'm saying.

i personally would love for falco to have a chain grab seeing as he is probably the most Chain-grabbed character on the roster, however people have been experimenting with falco for over 10 years, they would have found something by now, and I am not saying its not possible to get re-grabs its just di dependent not timing dependent.

Something i really love doing is if i see that when i up throw my opponent, they tend to di inwards toward me i will throw out a back throw next time because there close enough for a Backthrow -> WD -> Regrab Repeat combo. ITS COOL AS HELL and it works untill they stop either di-ing or they get to like 40-50 percent
