Pose for the Camera

I had a major realization while I was writing up a reply and decided to put it up as its own thread.

A lot of strange things were in the Brawl Video. The most confusing stuff were the random posing towards the end of the video. A lot of people have mentioned new taunts and stuff, but I think these are actually Victory Poses. Instead of having the This Game's Winner is... on a seperate screen I think it's now done on stage.

Because I definitely recognized the ear scratch thing Pikachu does with Samus and Pit as one of his winning animation. I then realized that the pose Samus was doing was also one of her victory animation but it was hard to tell since you usually don't see it at that angle.

This would go a long way to explaining a lot of the thing we've seen since characters have multiple victory poses. Link with Zelda and Bowser with Peach are a little confusing though. They might be special win poses or something that only happen when you have certain people.

So I compiled a list....

Edit: I don't have my copy of Melee right now, but I went and looked up the pose guide on Gamefaqs. Some of them definitely seem similar. I'll list which pose I think the old poses are by the button you need to hold to get it.

Seen Victory Poses?

-Ike setting his sword in the ground
-Wario Jaw Closing Thing.
-Donkey Kong chest Thumping (Old I think I don't play DK much)(X Button?)
-Diddy Clapping
-Yoshi Spinning (This..actually looks like a melee one come to think of it)(Y Button?)
-Ice Climbers Spinning (this is a new one)
-Ice Climbers with hammers on the ground (from their char page dojo pic. New win pose)
-Pit Angelic Light
-Samus cannon Point at camera (From melee)(B Button...I think)
-Pikachu Ear Scratch (From Melee)(Y Button)
-Zelda Magic at chest level (looks very similar to a melee win pose)(X Button)
-Link doing something....(I have no clue, it's definitely unlike any of his old ones)
-Peach Singing (new)
-Bowser balancing awkwardly (new)
-Kirby Twirling (I think this was in melee too)(X Button?)
-Metaknight pointing sword.

-Mario spinning and then posing (in the sonic video, old win pose)(X Button)
-Sonic Flipping and then crossing his arms (in the sonic video with mario)

-Snake throws Cardboard box off and faces camera?

Kirby Twirling was from 64 when you choose him.

For Peach and Bowser, Bowser was probably hit by a Peach move and broke forth into dance
