I'll probably be using Porygon Z as a special sweeper on my wifi team...but I lack full knowledge of its power...so can somebody fill me in? This is what I'm thinking...

You definitely want adaptability + tri- attack. Get rid of psychic, it doesn't really have that great type coverage anyways.

If you're nasty plotting, go with timid over modest. You want to be able to outspeed as much as you can.

Oh, and life orb it.

You want Tri Attack to be your main attacking move. HP Fighting and Dark Pulse cover up the things that resist / are immune to Tri Attack.

If serebii isn't lying to me (about Download's conditions for determining whether attack or special attack is raised), it may be a really good idea to go as a mixed sweeper and take off the nasty plot. The download would raise the attack base stat to 120, but the real issue here is the lack of a physical movepool. I'd say return.

Personally, I like the choice scarf with max speed, to outrun specsmence and some others that would normally be faster than it.

Download affects the actual attack, not base attack, so it would be equivalent to nearly 130 base Atk without EVs/Nature if I did the math right. Anyway, Adaptability is greatly preferred as your primary (and probably only) physical attack will be Return, which is affected by Adaptability anyway. Might as well keep the boost to Tri Attack as well. Life Orb Return actually hurts Blissey quite a bit and I believe results in a 2HKO.

Like you said, its physical movepool leaves something to be desired, so a pure physical set with Sharpen, though novel and rather funny if it works, would really not work. In ADV ubers, I used to run Porygon2 with Sharpen/Agility/Return/Shadow Ball, switch into a Wobbufett, and stat up while it sits there being trapped by its own Shadow Tag, and sweep :D Unfortunately, it no longer can work =/

Thanks. :bigthumbu

Just so everyone knows, the types that resist / are immune to Tri Attack are Rock, Steel and Ghost. HP Fighting takes care of the first two, while Dark Pulse eliminates the latter.

One could also use Shadow Ball over Dark Pulse, as they both cover the same types, except Shadow Ball doesn't effect Normal, but that isn't a problem. However, Dark Pulse has a 20% chance of flinching the target, but Shadow Ball has a 20% chance of lowering the target's Special Defense. The former could help in sweeping slower, but bulkier opponents (that is, if you're not using Tri Attack, like if you were up against Dusknoir), while the latter could particularly help against Cresselia.

CS Modest Porygon Z hits speeds that can make a Weavile cry, Psychic for fighting types, Signal Beam for the Dark/Psychic coverage, Ice Beam for Garchomps and T-Bolt for Gyarados.
