I don't have any pics, but for long road-trips when I was a kid, my parents used to hookup a GameCube and CRT TV for me and my bro to play Melee. We used a charger box (or whatever you'd call them) that had multiple sockets and could plug into the standard car cigarette lighter. IDK why it was called a charger box - at least I remember it being called such - but I suppose anything that could plug into the cigarette lighter and support two socket plugs would work. Of course, that'd mean that the GameCube+TV would be running on the car battery, so you wouldn't want to be doing this all the time and wear it down...although I really have no idea how cars work, so as far as I know, the toll it takes on the car battery may be negligible in the long-run.

Of course, there's always Smash for the 3DS coming out in just a few months, if that's what floats your boat. If you want to play PM on the go, Wii's are actually more easily transportable than GCs on the go - along with controllers and wires, they're thin enough to fit in the average suitcase. I've seen it been done before at some smash fests lol.

I have a friend who made a portable wii inside a shoe box. When you open up the box there is a small screen attached to it. He has a battery pack to power it so you can literally play it anywhere.

Shoebox?

Get an old brief case, Mount the wii in the bottom, a monitor up top. Open it up to play.
I remember when every console had a third party LCD screen peripheral that mounted on the side of the console, my cousin had one for his PS2 and we'd play it in the car. I always wanted one for my gamecube, I wonder if you could find one for the wii nowadays that's still for sale.

What is that called and where can I find it?
Intec wii screen.

I bought mine from a friend, he says he got the last one on clearance from target.

that was a few years ago when he originally got it. Probably could find it on ebay or some other site.

That is a good Idea but I do not think that an old brief case could hold the batteries along with the console and the screen and all the wii cables. If i remember correctly, there are holes in the side of the shoebox to plug in controllers. Hopefully when school starts up again my friend can help me build my own.

Briefcases are bigger than shoe boxes =/
They're also bigger than the box the wii comes in.

Also, if it's for smash you don't need batteries or wii remotes

You need a wii remote to start up the game and you need a battery pack to power the console and the screen because the portable wii does not use an outlet. Good idea with the briefcase I will suggest the idea to my friend the next time I see him. I think he used the shoebox because it used to be a portable gamecube.

But the guy I am talking about does not have a hacked wii. However another friend of mine does so I know what you are talking about.

I carried my Laptop with Dolphin for a while, my computer can run most default stages at full speed (while plugged in) so it's good for playing with friends. Don't know why it even is a laptop when the battery runs out in 5 minutes though.
