Because that's probably the one people are actually most interested in. Plus, Shulk is considered as the most complicated match up. Yeah sure, there are other harder match ups but Shulk has to go first.

Also, this helps in impeding fanboy wars

It was Trela's Shulk vs Zinoto's Diddy. After the lose he went to Charizard and then did better.

He did much better as Charizard. It's just that as Shulk, he got completely bodied against Diddy and he was in Speed Art.
