I really like the game play changes in Project M. However I really don't like to play competitively. I'm the kind of guy who really likes the "fun" levels from Brawl. I can't stand stages like Final destination and Battlefield. I want to see a "lite" release without stage changes.

The second page of stages has some like that. You can always learn how to mod (it's not that hard) and go on brawlvault and download "fun" custom stages.

I don't want custom stages though. I want the ones from the base game unmodified. I really hate what they did to the Wario Ware stage, Pictochat stage ect. I also want the proper images to show up aswell

I'm sure you'll find all of the Brawl stages on brawlvault somewhere
Also I'm pretty sure you can just remove the files that modify the stage from your PM SD but I'm not entirely sure.

What arctic said. I'm guessing you can just delete the stage that overwrites the Brawl stage in the files. Just find out which ones you want to delete.

I can do that. That is not the problem. I want the GUI to properly display the original brawl stages

Oh, he's talking about the SSS itself. It's a little bit of a process if you're new to using BrawlBox, but you're going to want to download/rip Brawl's mu_menumain.pac file and take the SSS large and small icons out and replace the respective PM stage with the Brawl original.

Unfortunately, illinialex's mediafire archive of the Brawl iso has expired so you'll have to either look elsewhere or dump your iso and extract the file using Wiiscrubber or another related iso viewer.

EDIT: My fault, but you're actually looking for the common_5.pac file, which contains everything relating to the CSS and SSS. mu_menumain.pac does still have stage icons but they correlate to My Music and other game features.
