Pokemon Trainer With Individual Damage Counters

This idea popped into my head while playing today. What if each individual pokemon had its own damage counter, and whenever you fought them, you had to defeat all three? For example, say you started with Squirtle, and you got his damage up to 100%. Well now you could just switch over to Ivysaur, who has 0% damage. But if you switched back to Squirtle, he'd still have 100%. But if he died, you wouldn't have him anymore.

Kind of a cool idea, right? Maybe an idea for the next M? It kind of resembles actual pokemon gameplay, which makes it even better.

As a side note, if you lowered or increased the stocks, you could customize who had how many stocks. Like in a four stock battle, you could have it be like 2 for squirtle, and one for the other two.

Thoughts?

Does seem legit since this idea follows pokemon's game-play exactly. With the removal of Transformations in Smash 4 however, it seems that It wont' be needed.
